Welcome to the Florida FTC Team Video Tracking System.  This system may be used by the following groups:


  1. ✓FTC Teams in Florida.

  2. ✓FTC teams that have been directed by their Affiliate Partner to use this system for their region’s Promote and Compass awards.  Check with your Affiliate Partner if you are uncertain about using this video tracking system.  If you don’t know how to contact your Affiliate Partner, find your region’s Affiliate Partner on the FIRST web site.

  3. ✓Any FTC team that would like to share their videos with the FTC community.

Instructions:


  1. ✓Upload your team’s video to any public video sharing site such as YouTube.

  2. ✓Teams are encouraged to keep their videos public for all to enjoy.  However, teams may hide their videos from YouTube users by designating the video as “unlisted.”  Click here for more information about unlisted YouTube videos.

  3. ✓Visit the Video Tracking System web page and enter the link to your team’s video.

  4. ✓Watch videos created by other FTC teams by logging into the Video Search System.

  5. ‣Search by region or all regions.

  6. ‣The Guest account doesn’t require a password and it can only view videos designated by teams as “Public.”

  7. ‣FIRST Staff, FTC Affiliate Partners and Judges have accounts that allow them to view public and private videos.

Video Tracking System Tips and Tricks:


  1. ✓Enter your team’s 4-digit team number, i.e. 1234.

  2. ✓Teams may used any email address and passcode.  This system is independent of the FTC Team Information Management System (TIMS) that teams use to register with FIRST.

  3. ✓The team email address will be used for:

  4. ‣A confirmation email.

  5. ‣Retrieving the team’s forgotten passcode.

  6. ✓Teams may update their information or video link at any time by using the Video Tracking System web page and completing all of the input fields.  The team’s information and video link will only update if the passcode provided in the entry form matches the passcode already in the database.

  7. ✓Select the video’s Privacy Setting.  “Public” videos can be viewed by anyone.  “Private” videos can only be viewed by FIRST Staff, FTC Affiliate Partners and Judges that have a valid password.  Teams are encouraged to keep their videos public for all to enjoy. 

  8. ✓Select the region for your upcoming FTC Tournament.  The region selection is the location of the tournament, NOT the location of the team. Teams participating in multiple regions must submit their videos to each region separately; Judges search for videos based on the tournament’s region.  For example, a Florida FTC team participating in both the Florida and Georgia Championship tournaments needs to submit their videos to both regions.  The video tracking system can store team videos for multiple tournaments concurrently (i.e. updating the video submission for the Florida Championship, doesn’t affect the video submitted to the Georgia Championship).

  9. ✓Select an Award Category.

  10. ‣Florida Teams should select the “Florida Judging Pilot Program” category.

  11. ‣Teams in all other regions should select either the “Promote” or “Compass” award categories.

  12. ‣Teams can submit videos for additional awards or regions by using this page again and selecting a different award category.
