FIRST Tech Challenge

2011-2012 Florida Championship

  1. One-Day Competition on Saturday February 18, 2012.

  2. Optional Setup, Robot Inspection and Practice, 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  Friday evening before the tournament day.

  3. Join the fun by watching the action on our ustream.tv broadcast starting at 10:00 a.m.:  stream.flfirst.org  Some Apple computers running the Safari web browser have trouble watching videos on ustream.tv.  Try the Firefox web browser if Safari doesn't work.

  1. Competition Registration Fee: $150.  An invoice will be emailed to the team’s main and alternate contacts.

  2. Team Participation is by invitation only based on results of the Florida Qualifying Tournaments.

El Caribe Resort & Conference Center - FTC 2845, Team Duct Tape arranged for a group rate at the El Caribe Resort & Conference Center.  The nightly room rate is $79 plus tax.  Each room will have two queen-sized beds, kitchen and an ocean front view.  One person per team should call (386) 252-1558 to reserve a block of rooms for the entire team.  Ask for the “FTC Florida Championship” group rate.  The El Caribe Resort & Conference Center is approximately 11-minutes from Embry-Riddle.  Visit their web site for more information:  www.elcaribe.com.

Please remember to mention Embry-Riddle when you make your reservation.  Hotels near the tournament may have a high occupancy rates due to the Budweiser Shootout race at Daytona International Speedway.
