Greetings Florida FTC Teams, Coaches, Volunteers, and Sponsors:

The 2022-23 FIRST Tech Challenge season has officially started with the game announcement last Saturday, September 10, 2022.  If you were not able to attend the Florida FTC Season Kick-off event, it is available on the FIRST in Florida YouTube channel (https://youtu.be/Tr1B8WBvFOQ). The following topics in this email newsletter provide you with information on how to learn more about the season:

The following are the topics covered in this Florida FTC newsletter:

  1. How to Find POWERPLAYSM Game Information
  2. Florida Championship T-shirt Design Contest
  3. League Event Dates & Locations

Newsletter Details:

  1. How to Find POWERPLAYSM Game InformationThe best place to find the POWERPLAYSM game information is by going to the “FIRST Tech Challenge>>Game & Season Material” web page: https://www.firstinspires.org/resource-library/ftc/game-and-season-info.  Game Manual Part 1 & 2 and the game animation video are located on this page as well as all documentation related to the POWERPLAYSM Please review the “Traditional Events” version of the document as we will only be hosting in-person traditional events throughout all of the 8 Florida leagues.  The web page also has all of the information you need to build and setup the POWERPLAYSM field.  My final recommendation is that I also encourage all teams to also review Game Manual Part 1 as there are several important changes to the robot rules such as including your team number on your red and blue alliance markers.

Teams that would like to order a POWERPLAYSM field, please go to the FIRST Tech Challenge part of the AndyMark website (https://www.andymark.com/pages/first-tech-challenge)
